PALS Training for Healthcare Professionals

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.

This course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of:

  • The pediatric population experiencing life-threatening emergencies
  • Pediatric respiratory and/or cardiac arrest

What You Will Learn:

Pediatric BLS skills review:

  • Pediatric HIgh Quality chest compressions
  • Effective ventilation techniques
  • AED/Defibrillator use 

Recognition of, interventions for, and early management of:

  • Respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Pre-arrest conditions and deteriorating conditions
  • Airway management techniques
  • Pharmacology related to PALS protocols
  • Effective communication and leadership within a resuscitation team
